Nestled in the hill country outside of Austin Texas, the Wimberley Valley hosts the ideal landscape to raise, breed and nurture the Field Golden Retriever, known for their remarkable talents and loving personality. Capturing three acres along the banks of the Blanco River in which to hone the sensitive nose, to miles of crystal clear water retrieving marks above and below the surface, Bear's keen focus and exuberant work ethic is truly an amazing sight to behold. We are blessed to own a slice of heaven to raise and now breed a remarkable family member. We Hope you'll soon have the opportunity to enjoy a Golden Retriever's companionship and loyalty as well.

Creating any Legacy comes with a beginning. It's the commitment to that beginning that history will have a say as to the kind of legacy we all will ultimately leave.
As long time breeder & judge Jane R. Schubart, The Norwich Terrier Club of America (August 2015 AKC Gazette) stated,
"As a breeder, my first priority is the brood bitch. I believe that no kennel or line is stronger than its bitches. The foundation bitch is often the cornerstone of a successful line...The bitch herself (whether adult or puppy) must be evaluated, to include her health, temperament, and conformation...Remembering that the goal is to select a bitch who will produce progeny retaining the ideals of the breed, her ability to produce is most important."
We couldn't agree more with Miss Schubart's "philosophy" as the cornerstone in our own breeding program, whether it's applied inside or outside of the "show ring". So here we are as we begin our journey as Blanco River Field Golden Retrievers, fully committed to producing healthy progeny that retains the ideals of Miss Bear's phenomenal breed.
